The Jukebox Collection is a compilation of short 8-bit song covers I created in PICO-8. Since these songs were created using the built-in music editor but one cartridge only has the persistent storage space for one or two songs, I came up with a way to dynamically load songs into memory as they are selected. Loading each song involves converting several hexadecimal strings from one format to another and then loading them into memory. I also designed the interface, navigation and UI animations, taking layout inspiration from Spotify.
